The name of Pebete comes from the classic soft, fluffy, and mid-sweet bread, traditional from the Argentines’s bakery and school snack.

The Pebete family
Agustín arrived to Barcelona from Buenos Aires in 2018 to work as a programmer, but he ended up changing the bits for the bites and opened Pebete: a restaurant in Barcelona with all the Argentine’s gastronomy essence, in a chamfer in Diputació street, with red doors, side tables and details which make you feel close to home.
In 2024 his parents – Néstor and Cristina – joined, and in April 2025 Pebete Barcelona S.L. was born. A family project with work, passion and community spirit. The local opened November 25 and since then is a meeting point where there’s always movement and good vibes.
From early in the morning coffee, medialunas and sweet pastry come out, and later the main characters: the sandwich well cooked, with home-made flavour y the indispensable milanesa, who stoles all the spotlight. But beyond all the food, the concept is clear: makes you feel like in your house living room, that you stay, that you talk and make you part of it.
Pebete is not just a place to eat, is community, family and that place where you always want to come back.

Pebete is born with the idea of being much more that a fast food in Barcelona: we want to the that meeting point where truly community is build. A place where you come to have a nice Argentine’s gastronomy bite, but also to stay, to speak for a while and feel part of it.
Our mission is simple: that every person who enters feels like home. With good vibes, home-made flavours and that close atmosphere which make you want to always come back. Because in Pebete you don’t come just for eat, you come to be part of it

In Pebete you don’t come just to eat: you come to feel part of something. A spot in Barcelona where the good vibes are served lake the food, with laughs, chats and that human heating that makes you inevitable smile.
Is that place which you look for without thinking about it: we welcome you like at home, with that just made bread scent, flavours which hug you and an environment that invites you to stay for a while… or all the day.
With dishes which captivate you in the first bite and that Argentinian spirit that is notable in every detail, Pebete is more that a fast food: is your new meeting point in the city, where you always want to come back.

Pebete is built from the inside, by everyone. It’s not forced, it’s not invented. It happens because we’re here, because it flows. It grows on its own-with every story, every encounter, every time someone shows up and stays.
